VISIT OF DGGS & COMMANDER ARTRAC TO SLMA

The Director General General Staff (DGGS) and Commander of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) Major General B P S de Silva RSP paid his maiden official visit to the Sri Lanka Military Academy on 08^th August 2020 together with some of his staff officers. The Commandant Brigadier A K G K U Gnanaratne ndc psc, the Deputy Commandant, all Wing Heads and staff of the SLMA extended a warm welcome to the delegation.

Upon arrival, the senior officer paid his respect to the fallen heroes at the “Monument of Peace” by laying a wreath and later he addressed the staff and officer cadets at the Sino-Lanka Auditorium.

During his brief stay at the Military Academy, he visited classrooms, library, MI room, gymnasium, stable and other facilities where he was briefed on the current situation. The visiting DGGS and Commandant together with the staff discussed matters pertaining to training and necessary improvements to existing infrastructure.

Prior to departure, the Commandant presented the visiting Major General B P S de Silva RSP with a special plaque in appreciation of his visit to the Academy.
