The final of the Inter-Company Basketball Competition was glamorously held at the Academy Gymnasium on 26th February 2020 with the participation of officer cadets of 88, 89, 90 and 88B. The event was graced by the presence of the Commandant, Brigadier A K G K U Gnanaratne psc as the Chief Guest, wing heads, officers, officer cadets and other ranks of the Academy.
Gannoruwa and Vijithapura companies vied for the finals and after a breath-taking match the Gannoruwa company had an amazing victory under the caring support and leadership of Captain KDS Silva SLA. The event was successfully organized and conducted by the responsible officers and the cheering encouraged the spirit of players. The organizing committee also paid tribute to the Basketball legend- Kobe Bryant who tragically died of a helicopter crash.
The event marked a remarkable end by adding wonderful yet dashing memories in the hearts of everyone who were present.
