SLMA BIDS FAREWELL TO ITS COMMANDANT

On 06th February 2020, the SLMA bid farewell to its Commandant, Brigadier S K Eshwaran USP psc who served the institute for just over a year. He was accorded with a ceremonial military parade held at the Academy parade ground with the participation of 30 officers, 174 other ranks and 108 officer cadets and it was commanded by the Chief Instructor of the MTW, Colonel H L C Liyanage RWP RSP psc. In his address, he emphasized the importance of officer cadet training and paid his humble gratitude to the Academy staff who assisted him in performing his duties. After the parade, he posed for a photograph with all officers as well as NCOs. A tree plantation ceremony was also held in memory of his tenure at the Academy as the Commandant.

He was awarded a special memento in appreciation of his leadership and invaluable service to the development of the Military Academy and cadet training. Finally, his departure was marked with a traditional street lining amidst showers of blessings by all members of SLMA.
