The officer cadets of Intake 87, 87B, 59 (V), Lady 17 and Lady 16 (V) participated in the “Ex Wanabambara”, the final and the longest of all exercises conducted by the SLMA from 12th October to 04th November 2019. This company level exercise, conducted in Walamandiya, Maduru Oya, is designed to test officer cadets' ability in planning and conducting counter insurgency operations in jungle and rural areas as platoon commanders.
The Commandant of the institute, Brigadier S K Eshwaran visited the area during the final phase of the exercise.
