INTER-COMPANY COMBAT FIRING MEET- 2019

The annual “Inter-Company Combat Firing Meet” of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held from 20^th to 22^nd September 2019 at the Field Firing Range at Fox Hill, Diyatalawa. Brigadier Shantha Eshwaran, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy attended the prize-giving as the Chief Guest. All other Wing Heads along with officer instructors and officer cadets of all intakes were also present at the occasion.

COY/U/O H M S T Herath of officer cadet Intake 87 was adjudged the Best Section Commander while the trophy awarded to the Best Company of the Meet was secured by Vijithapura Company. Prizes were also awarded to the Best Gun Group and the Best Section of the meet.

Cdt/Cpl P R U Kulathunga of intake 87 B became the best shot of the competition whilst Pl/U/O G R D C Gothatuwa, Cdt/Sgt S Aboobakar, Cdt/Cpl D M V G B R Dissanayake, Cdt/Cpl U S D N Somathilaka, O/Cdt H R M V Samaraweera, O/Cdt B L Amarathunga and Cdt/Sgt A D P N S Silva became eligible to receive the Commandant’s Honour.
