The SLMA conducted an outward-bound training programme for undergraduates of the Sri Jayawardenapura University on Personality and Skills Development from 19th to 26th June 2019. The Commandant Brigadier Shantha Eshwaran extended a warm welcome to the participants in his welcome address conducted in the New Auditorium.
The programme covered lectures and practical sessions on Leadership, Team Building, First Aid, Stress Management, Social Etiquette and many other aspects which are of importance to develop personality and skills of these third year undergraduates of the Department of Marketing Management.
The programme also consisted of a Diners’ Club session conducted by the eminent lecturer Mr. Indika Gunawardhana, the CEO of Browns Agri Solutions (Pvt) Ltd and Chairman of the Agro Chemical Industry Association.
Dr (Mrs) Amila Jayarathne, the Head of Department of Marketing Management, Senior Professor B N F Warnakulasooriya and a few other senior academics along with 85 undergraduates of the Management Faculty participated in the eight-day programme.
The programme was designed and conducted by the Military Training Wing with the guidance of the Chief Instructor Col K V N P Premarathne.
