The Inter-Company Sports Meet of the year 2019 was held at the Polo Grounds, Diyatalawa on 01st June 2019 with the participation of Intake 87, 87B, 59 (V), 88, Lady 17, Lady 16 (V) and DE. The Commandant, Brigadier Shantha Eshwaran declared the Sports Meet open as the Chief Guest and all other wing heads, officers and Other Ranks of the Academy graced the occasion.
The meet included special relay events for students from neighbouring schools, SLMA instructors and civil staff apart from Cadets’ sports events. The Award for the Best Male Athlete was won by Officer Cadet M K A Perera of Intake 87B and Lady Officer Cadet H S Hewathanthri of Intake Lady 16 (V) became the Best Female Athlete of the Sports Meet. The overall championship of the Inter-Company Sports Meet 2019 was triumphantly bagged by the Balana Company having scored 177 marks.
