The passing out parade of Drill Instructor Course no 118 was held on 06th December 2018 at the Sri Lanka Military Academy. Brigadier H H A S P K Senaratne RSP psc, the Commandant of the institute graced the occasion as the Chief Guest with the Deputy Commandant, all Wing Heads and a cross section of officers and other ranks from all Wings. There were also invitee officers representing all regiments of the Army.
The Chief Guest presented the “Silver Pace Stick” to C/Sgt Pussalamankada P R M M B of 2(V) VIR who became the First in Order of Merit scoring the highest aggregate in all theoretical subjects of the course.
As traditional, the Chief Instructor’s parade was held on 04th December 2018 where the new DI’s performed a colourful drill display.
On the 06th evening, the course-end Dinner Night was held at the Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess with the participation of the staff and newly passed out drill instructors.
