The 69th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army was celebrated at the Sri Lanka Military Academy with the participation of the Deputy Commandant, Col K H K Kottawattha, all Wing Heads, military and civilian staff and officer cadets on 10th October 2018.
The Army flag was hoisted at the “Buddy Trio” hill where the Deputy Commandant read the Commander’s message issued on account of the 69th Army Day.
In commemorating the anniversary, trees that are conducive to the area were planted wing-wise. As traditional, a special lunch prepared by the Administration Wing was offered to all ranks at the Torch Cinema
