The third batch of ten officer cadets from ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) programs in the U.S. with a sergeant in charge of them visited the SLMA on 3rd Sunday for a five-day stay with local cadets.
Upon arrival, they paid tribute to the “Monument of Peace” and watched a comprehensive presentation on the Military Academy and cadet life at the auditorium. There were ample opportunities in the program for interaction and understanding cultural differences between the two countries. The delegation visited the Library, Stable, Museum and MSTS (Marksmanship and Sniper Training School) during their stay. The Academy also made arrangements for them to engage in physical training, weapons training and various sports with local cadets.
They also attended a special dinner hosted by the Academy at the Cadets’ Mess, and went on sightseeing in the general area of Ella.
