US CADETS VISIT SLMA

A US delegation comprising of one master sergeant and eleven officer cadets from the Reserve Officer Training Corps arrived at SLMA on 23rd May 2018 for a five-day program as part of an exchange program between the Sri Lanka Army and the US Army.

The visiting US cadets took pleasure in participating in PT, drill, weapons training, academic lectures, sports with local cadets and also reciprocally benefitting, cadets of both countries conducted presentations on respective military academies. They visited the Library, Stable, Museum and Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) as part of the program.

The exchange program paved the way for cadets of both countries to interact and exchange views on respective cultures, military traditions and above all to get to know each other.

They called on the Commandant, Brigadier Priyantha Senaratne in his office on the second day. The six-kilometer hike to Ella Rock and visit to Rawana Falls on the final day added to the excitement of the program.

This was the first group of three cadet groups currently in the country.
