INTER-COMPANY COMBAT FIRING MEET 2018

The biannual Inter-Company Combat Firing Meet of the Sri Lanka Military Academy was held on 05th May 2018 at the Field Firing Range located at Fox Hill, Diyatalawa. Colonel Ajith Wickramasekara, the Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet Wing attended the prize-giving as the Chief Guest. Other Wing Heads, officer instructors and officer cadets of all intakes were also present at the occasion.

Pl/U/O A K K De Silva of officer cadet Intake 85 was adjudged the Best Section Commander while the trophy awarded to the Best Company of the Meet was secured by the Balana Company. Prizes were also awarded to the Best Gun Group and the Best Section.

O/Cdt W A G C Lakmal of intake 58 (V) became the best shot of the competition whilst Cdt/Cpl N D Rajapaksha, O/Cdt H M S T Herath and O/Cdt U W R D Bandara of intake 58 (V) became eligible to receive the Commandant’s Honours.
