The Media Briefing of “Fox Hill Supercross 2018” was held at Galle Face Hotel Colombo on 29th March 2018. It was chaired by the Commandant and Chairman of Fox Hill Supercross 2018, Brigadier H H A S P K Senaratne while Mr Rizvi Farouk, the Secretary of Sri Lanka Automobile Sports and a host of sponsors that included Ceylon Agro Industries Ltd (Prima Group), Rohoto-Mentholatum Lanka (Pvt) Ltd (Baurs), Lions Brewery (Ceylon) PLC, LOLC PLC, Browns Power Mart (Exide), IT Gallery Computers (Pvt) Ltd, Northpole Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, S.K. Munasinghe Motors (Dunlop Agent), Demak Sales and Services Lanka (Ltd), Nimal Superlight (Generators) also participated in the event.
The 26th Fox Hill Supercross will be conducted in collaboration with three organizations connected to motorsports: Ministry of Sports, Sri Lanka Automobile Sports, and the Federation of Motorcycle Sports in Sri Lanka.
The Commandant in his address paid tribute to the pioneers: late Maj Gen Gamini Gunasekera, along with other officers and Mr Hans Ralf. He further stated that all funds will be used to develop infrastructure and training facilities of the SLMA. The defending Champion driver Ashan Silva and the rider Ishan Dasanayake also expressed their pleasure over the facilities available to competitors at Fox Hill.
The success of the event was marked by the large number of media personnel present from both print and electronic media together with all Sponsors, who expressed their utmost happiness of being able to join hands with the SLMA, the organizers of the event.
The breathtaking Fox Hill Supercross will take wings at famous Fox Hill circuit Diyatalawa from 9 am onwards on 21st April 2018.
