The flag of the SLMA consists of Army colours; royal blue and yellow with the crest placed in the centre. It has a flaming torch symbolizing learning which rests on two swords of traditional pattern and the whole is placed within two sheaves of ripe paddy. The Academy motto, "සේවයෙන් නායකත්වය" (Serve to Lead) is displayed below.
