TROOPS OF 233 BRIGADE ORGANIZED DRY RATION DONATION PROGRAMME

Under the direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General K A N N Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu and with the supervision of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel RWK Hewage RWP RSP the troops of 7 Light Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and 9 Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery organized a programme to distribute 100 dry ration packs (each worth of Rs. 7500.00) among100 needy families in Polonnaruwa District on 17 October 2021.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ARE DISTRIBUTED AMONG MOST DESERVING HOSPITALS

A stock of respiratory related medical equipment, gifted to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, NOCPCO by the Sri Lankan Society in United States of America, was shared among the most deserving hospitals in Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa area under the supervision of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Channa Weerasuriya.

BEACH CLEARING PROGRAM AND PLANTING OF SAPLINGS COINCIDENT WITH ARMY ANNIVERSARY

To coincide with 72nd Army Anniversary, a beach clearing operation was carried out in the Vakarai in Batticaloa district with the direction of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel R W K Hewage RWP RSP and Officers and Other Ranks from 233 Infantry Brigade & 6th Gajaba Regiment participated in this event.

Under the direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General K A N N Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu and with the supervision of the Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier W M N K D Bandara RWP RSP USP psc a programme was organized to distribute 100 dry ration packs (Each pack worth of Rs/= 6000.00) among100 needy families in Batticaloa district on 10 October 2021.

DISTRIBUTION OF DRY RATION PACKS FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES

Implementation of the dry ration packs distribution programme for low income families with the aim of promoting reconciliation between civil society and the Sri Lanka Army to uplifting the living standers of the people in the area affected by the rapidly spreading of Covid - 19 epidemic in the country the troops of 11 SLNG launched the dry ration distribution programme for selected 1250 low income families in the Akkaraipattu DS Division area on 01st October 2021 with the sponsorship of local donors.
