A Dansela programme was organized by the 242 Infantry Brigade and 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment for the devotees of "Paada Yathra" at the evening of 25 July 2022 at Okanda Dewalaya premises under the patronage of Mr. Kamal Harischandra an entrepreneur in Piliyandala. A total of 1500 devotees were offered dinner and Ice Cream and the event was organized with the direction of General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division Major General SB Amunugama RWP RSP ndu. The Commander 242 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier BGS Fernando USP psc Hdmc, Commanding Officer of 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel MAW Munasinghe SLSR along with the troops of 242 Infantry Brigade, 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment also attended to the event.

In parallel with the Esala poya day, under the guidance of the Comd 241 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier AMC Abeykoon RWP RSP USP, Officers and Other Ranks organized a Manioc Dansala in front of the Brigade Headquarter on the Esala poya day from 11.00 AM to 01.30 PM on 13 July 2022. A Large number of local residents have been participated in this event.

Under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division, and Commander 241 Infantry Brigade, 18th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Organized 500 food packs distribution programme on the Esala poya day for the children of Pandirippu Vision of Hope Children’s Home and the people who were at the queue of Osaka Lanka IOC filling station Nintavur, from 12.00 PM to 02.00 PM on 13 July 2022.

With the direction and the guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier WMNKD Bandara RWP RSP USP psc, troops of 11(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a programme of distributing 116 dry ration packs which each worth of Rs. 6000.00 among the needy families in Sinnawatta, Batticaloa district on15 July 2022.

With the direction and the guidance of Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier WMNKD Bandara RWP RSP USP psc, troops of 4 Gemunu Watch and 11(V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a programme of distributing 80 dry ration packs each worth of Rs. 5000.00 among the needy families at Unnachchi and Kurukkalmadam in Batticaloa district on16 July 2022.

Col S P Malawarage RSP USP IG of Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment assumed office as the 17th Commander of 232 Bde at Thoppigala at his office on 11th May 2022 during a simple ceremony. He succeeds Brigadier MWARAC Wijesuriya RSP USP.

A large stock of books was donated to 137 students at Dhramaraja Vidayalaya - Saddapura in Trincomalee District on Tuesday (19) following sponsorship received from Mr Suranga Ekanayake and his friends who are currently residing in the Australia.

The troops of 233 Infantry Brigade under command to 23 Infantry Division organized a school accessories distribution programme for students in grade 6 of Vigneshwaram Junior School - Kathiraveli, Thirumagal Vidyalaya - Panichchankerni, Arunthathy Vidyalaya - Kandalady, Vammiraddawan Vidyalaya and Vakarei Maha Vidyalaya in Batticaloa District on 17 April 2022.

The troops of 233 Infantry Brigade under command to 23 Infantry Division organized a food distribution Campaign of 100 x dry ration packs (Worth of Rs. 350,000.00) for needy families in Batticaloa District on 16 April 2022 at the 233 Infantry Brigade Headquarters.

The troops of 11th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard distributed school bags among 45 school students at Niwguna Saddhathissa Junior College in Eragama, Ampara on 25th March 2022 with the sponsorship of Mr A L Tawfiq, District Cultural Officer Akkaraipattu.
