Sri Lanka Army, 12th Sri Lanka National Guard located inAkkareipaththu under 631 Bde of Task Force 3 in Security Forces (East) offered stationeries among students Thangawelaudapuram Primary School in Thirukkowil DS Division and arranged the lunch for the students who were benifited on 12 March 2013.

Sri Lanka Army, 231 Bde located in Baticaloa under 23 Div in Security Forces (East) area conducted a meeting of all Religious leaders in the area on 12 March 2013 with the aim of fostering religious harmony among the public with the participation of huge number of religious leaders.

Sri Lanka Army, 3rd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Oluwil under 631 Bde of TF 3 in Security Forces (East) arranged a shramadhana campaign in the Kalmonai Temple premises on 12 March 2013.

As per a concept of the commander Security Forces Headquarters (East), Task force 3 located in Akkaraipattu organized a course in the hotel trade funded by Asian development bank, form 18 th February 2013. to 7 th February 2013. For 50 student (9 Tamils ,4 Muslims , 37 Sinhalese) The certificate awarding ceremony was held in $SANHIDA$ hotel Ampara on 8th of April 2013 .

Task Force 3 located in Akkraipattu in Security Forces ( East ) area conducted a meeting with Muslim religious leaders (Ulamas) in the Amapara district under the patronage of major general Lal Perera the Commander, Security Forces (East) to discuss bilateral issues related to them , with an aim to enhance the religious harmony on 31st of March 2013.

3rd Sri Lanka National Guard located in 233 Brigade area under 23 Div in security force (East) Constructed a new house worth of Rs 128500 for an underprivileged family(Siwananam disandan) in Pudur village with the financial assistant of Mrs Vishaka Dharmadasa the president of "War Affected Women" Association . The ceremony to handover Keys was held on 10 April 2013.

To commemorate" World Health Day" on 7th April 2013, 223 Brigade and 3 SLNG Battalion organized a Medical Clinic and Exhibition on Medical Science ,Agricultural and Livestock at Vakare Central College. Commander Security Forces (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Distribution of wheel chairs, water motors ,gift packets ,school items and sport items were taken place with the financial assistant of Dr Rmanayaka, Mr Udaya Kumara and Mr Ganesh Kumar at the Event.

Toppigala Heritage Park Complex was ceremonially opened by Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa The Secretary,Ministry of Defence and Urban Development on 18th April 2013 at Alioluwa Chief of Defence Staff, Commanders of the Army and Air Force , Inspector General of Police, Director General of the Civil Defence Force ,Commander Security Forces (East) ,Mr Merrill J Fernando, Chairman, Dilmah Conservation and senior military officers were present at the occasion.
