A large stock of books was donated to 137 students at Dhramaraja Vidayalaya - Saddapura in Trincomalee District on Tuesday (19) following sponsorship received from Mr Suranga Ekanayake and his friends who are currently residing in the Australia.
The Programme was conducted under the direction and the supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 22 Infantry Division, Major General Sanath Aluvihare and the Commander, 221 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Anurudda Solangarachchi. The programme was coordinated and the facilitated by the troops of 2nd Battalion of Gajaba Regiment.
The Commander of 221 Infantry Brigade, Civil Coordinating Officers of 22 infantry Division and the 221 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 2 GR along with several senior officers and the school staff also attended to the brief ceremony.
