A stock of respiratory related medical equipment, gifted to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, NOCPCO by the Sri Lankan Society in United States of America, was shared among the most deserving hospitals in Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa area under the supervision of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Channa Weerasuriya.
The medical devices comprised of 10 liter Oxygen Concentrators were distributed among the Base Hospital Kalmunei, Teaching Hospital Batticaloa and District Hospital Polonnaruwa for the benefit of COVID patients. The equipment was symbolically handed over to the health officials by the Commanders of the 231 and 241 Infantry Brigades.
