Under the direction of the General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General K A N N Koswaththa RWP RSP ndu and with the supervision of the Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier W M N K D Bandara RWP RSP USP psc a programme was organized to distribute 100 dry ration packs (Each pack worth of Rs/= 6000.00) among100 needy families in Batticaloa district on 10 October 2021.
The programme was conducted in parallel with 72nd Army Anniversary and Army Day with the sponsorship of Mr Supem De Silva from Rotary Club Colombo to facilitate for the needy families at Unnachchiya and Kokadicholei, who have been affected by Covid-19 epidemic in the country.
General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division, Major General Nalin Koswaththa, Commander 231 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Dilupa Bandara, Commanding Officer of 4GW and 11(V) SLSR, Civil Affairs Officers of 23 Infantry Division and 231 Infantry Brigade and the troops joined with the programme.
