To coincide with 72nd Army Anniversary, a beach clearing operation was carried out in the Vakarai in Batticaloa district with the direction of the Commander 233 Infantry Brigade, Colonel R W K Hewage RWP RSP and Officers and Other Ranks from 233 Infantry Brigade & 6th Gajaba Regiment participated in this event.
Meanwhile, 50 Jack saplings were planted in the Headquarters premises of 233 Infantry Brigade, Vakarai.
