  • 12 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT CONDUCTED SAPPER TO LANCE CORPORAL PROMOTION COURSE FOR YEAR 02/2022

    According to the instructions given by the Directorate of Training and under the supervision and guidance of the Commanding Officer of 12 Field Engineer Regiment Lt Col DGEMRB Dhammanthota psc SLE, 12 Field Engineer Regiment have conducted a Sapper to Lance corporal course. The promotion course commenced on 10 November 2022 and it has been scheduled to conduct within 26 working days and terminated on 10 December 2022 with the participation of 35 sappers from 1 SLE, 5 SLE, 6 SLE, 7 SLE, 8 SLE, 11 SLE, 12 SLE, 14 CBRN SLE, 16 Wk Shop SLE units.

  • PROVIDING DRINKING WATER FACILITY FOR OVER 235 FAMILIES OF ABHAYAPURA VILLAGE AVISSAWELLA AREA

    The inauguration ceremony of installation of a water tank and pipeline system to supply the drinking water facility to over 235 families (more than 900 residents) living in Abhayapura village Avissawella area was held on 16th December 2022 and the President of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

    Maj KGCK Kudagamage SLE assumed office as the 9th Commanding Officer of the 11 Field Engineer Regiment on 13 December 2022 at headquarters of 11 Field Engineer Regiment in Kovilakkandy, Jaffna

  • SAPPER OFFICER BECOMES THE FIRST IN ORDER OF MERIT IN THE COUNTERINSURGENCY AND JUNGLE WARFARE COURSE - ATS MADURUOYA

    Captain AAPV Suraweera SLE became the first in order of merit in the Counterinsurgency and Jungle Warfare course No 31 held at Army Training School - Maduruoya. 27 student officers including 2 Pakistan officers, 2 Bangladesh officers, a Nepal officer, an officer from Sri Lanka Navy and Officers of more than 10 Regiments were participated in the course.

    The graduation ceremony of the Course No 16 of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) at Sapugaskanda which qualifies Seven Sapper Officers to wear the ‘Passed Staff College (psc)’ badge got underway at evening hours on 08 December 2022, presided by the His Excellency the President Ranil Wickremasinghe, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces as the Chief Guest.

  • THE COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING OFFICIALLY TAKES OVER THE DUTIES

    Col MKV Manoharan USP assumed the duties as the 32nd Commandant of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering in Embilipitiya on 08th of December 2022 during a simple ceremony. The newly appointed Commandant was warmly welcomed with a Guard Turnout on his arrival to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering. He planted a sapling to mark the assuming of duties as the Commandant. Subsequently after assuming duties the newly appointed Commandant addressed the staff of SLSME and stressed the need to enhance the professionalism in training. He further reiterated the importance of upholding the Military discipline in training and to produce efficient Combat Engineers. After the troop address the Commandant joined with all ranks for tea.

  • SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS - ALMS GIVING PROGRAMME TO “SALINA ALWIS GUNARATNE” ELDERS HOME AT PILIYANDALA.

    The Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers launched a donation & alms giving programme to residential elders of “Salina Alwis Gunaratne” Elders Home at Piliyandala on 02 December 2022. The event included arranging a delicious lunch for the elders, donating of essential items and an entertainment programme.

  • INSTRUCTOR APPRECIATION NIGHT

    Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering organized program of instructor appreciation on 27th November 2022, according to a concept of commandant of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering. The intention of this program was to appreciate and encourage the instructors of corps Engineers. The commandant SLSME Col Chandana Wickramanayake was the chief guest of the ceremony.
