Under the guidance of Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Mrs. Anupama Fernando, spouse of the Commanding Officer - 4 (V) SLE, a donation program was conducted to support Corporal Jayasinghe SHS and his family, who face physical challenges due to non-battle reasons. During this initiative, a wheelchair was provided to Corporal Jayasinghe SHS, and his daughter, who excelled in the GCE Advanced Level Examination with three A's in the Arts stream, was presented with a laptop computer to aid her in pursuing higher education.

In response to a request from the Safety and Security Department of Hilton Colombo Residences and under the directive of the Ministry of Defence, the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment Training Team conducted an awareness session. This initiative was overseen by the Commander of the Army, with close supervision from the Chief Field Engineer and guidance from the Commander Engineer Division.

This meeting coincided with the culmination of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training, underscoring the shared commitment to enhancing military cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc relinquished duties as General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division after completion of six month in the office and highest standard of farewell formalities given him by division including Guard turnout, a colourful guard of honour for outgoing General Officer Commanding. Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc addressed all the troops in the Convention Hall at the Home of Sappers. During his address, he appreciated the contribution given by all ranks in his tenure.

The Closing Ceremony of Basic CBRN Response Course No. 08 concluded on 20 June 2024, at Mattegoda. The course commenced on 28 May 2024, was conducted under the supervision of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering and the Commanding Officer of 14 CBRNE Response Regiment. There was active participation of 27 Other Ranks who not only enthusiastically took part but also successfully completed all requirements. This course was designed to develop the capability and knowledge of Sappers to respond to a CBRN disaster. Throughout the duration of the course, as subjects, concepts of chemical warfare, biological warfare, radiological and nuclear warfare, decontamination processes and techniques, search and rescue operations, firefighting and hazardous waste management were covered. Course participants had the opportunity to attend lectures and practical sessions conducted by experts in different aspects of CBRN response.
