Newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major W A M Samaranayake SLE Officer Commanding of 10 HQ Squadron upon his arrival at the Headquarters premises.

The military funeral of Warrant Officer 1 KWTK De Silva (Rtd) of 1 Field Engineer Regiment and the first Regimental Sergeant Major of the Commando Regiment who had served the country more than two decades took place Friday, 02nd August 2024 at Kanuwana General Cemetery, amidst a gathering of his military comrades and other mourners to bid farewell as dusk settled. The Centre Commandant, Colonel F Joseph USP represented the hierarchy of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and present at the ceremony, symbolizing the profound respect for the departed comrade.
