Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering organized program of instructor appreciation on 27th November 2022, according to a concept of commandant of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering. The intention of this program was to appreciate and encourage the instructors of corps Engineers. The commandant SLSME Col Chandana Wickramanayake was the chief guest of the ceremony.
The program started amidst Traditional Mangala Bheri Wadana and lightning the oil lamp. After that awarding ceremony was started along with the concert. The commandant SLSME Col Chandana Wickramanayake and Chief Instructor Maj Namal Keerthisinghe awarded certificate of appreciating for the sixty three (63) instructors of Field Engineering Wing, Earth moving and construction plant wing and National Vocational Training Wing. Among them, sixteen (16) Instructors including physical Training instructors were awarded as best instructors based on the rank structure. The best instructors have been selected by a pre appointed board headed by the Chief Instructor, considering all the instructors serving at present in SLSME, according to the criteria which has been highlighted by the Directorate of Research Concept and Doctrine relevant to the quality instructor.
The events of concert were conducted by the presently serving permanent staff and learning course students of SLSME. The concert was unfolded with cultural items, Dramas and songs. The ceremony was concluded by the address of commandant of SLSME.
