The 14 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment successfully conducted a CBRN Response Basic Course to strengthen the capacity and capabilities of soldiers by training them as first responders to Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) emergencies in the country. The course was held from 13 February 2025 to 12 March 2025, with the participation of 22 student soldiers under the supervision of the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering.

On 23 February 2025, the 4 (Volunteer) Engineer Regiment SLE celebrated its 114th anniversary with a variety of exciting activities at the camp in Borupana, Rathmalana. The events were held from 21 to 23 February 2025, honored the unit's remarkable history and customs while symbolizing its pride, dedication, and unity. The entire programs were organized under the leadership and oversight of Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel H P U Dasanayake USP SLE.

In response to a request from the University of Moratuwa to the Ministry of Defence, with the technical support of the National Authority for the Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), the 14 Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment deployed a specialized response team on 02 March 2025 to address a suspected chemical leak at the university's chemical storage facility.

The Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering (SLSME) officially inaugurated its ‘Smart Agriculture Project’ in a ceremony presided over by Colonel JACS Jagoda psc, the Commandant of SLSME on 22 February 2025.
