With the aim of understanding and enhance the experiences and reinforce safe chemical handling practices, the participants of the Basic Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) First Responders’ Course No. 09 conducted a visit to the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant on 28 October 2024. The field visit was organized by the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment under the supervision of Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering, in collaboration with the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, to provide first responders with critical insights into chemical safety and emergency preparedness.

The National Karate Championship took place on the 17th and 18th of October 2024 at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium, where 16 male and female Sapper karate players representing the Army team displayed remarkable skill and determination. Their hard work paid off as they secured a total of 12 medals, including 6 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.
