Under the visionary guidance of Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, and Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch, another inspiring book donation programme was unfolded on 04th January 2025 at the 7 Field Engineer Regiment in Minneriya. This impactful initiative sought to unlock brighter futures for 21 children of soldiers, strengthening educational opportunities and fostering unity within military families.

Fully renovated Civil Servants’ accommodation block was handed over to Civil Servants on 01 January 2025 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, by Colonel F Joseph USP, the Centre Commandant SLE. This accommodation facility was a long lasting requirement at Regimental Centre, fulfilled with fully renovated and handed over to accommodate Civil Servants serving in the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

In an increasingly complex world, preparedness for Chemical, Biological, Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) events is paramount. Recognizing this, the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment of the Sri Lanka Army, under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and direction of General Officer Commanding of Engineer Division and close supervision of Commanding Officer 14 CBRNE Response Regiment training team of 14 CBRNE Response Regiment recently played a crucial role in a CBRN District Coordination platform organized by the Disaster Management Center (DMC). This initiative focused on bolstering CBRN readiness across the districts of Galle, Kalutara, Colombo, and Gampaha.
