NEW COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES HELM AT 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

In a ceremony steeped in military tradition, Major RRLD Rathnayake USP psc officially assumed duties as the 10th Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, in Myladdi, Jaffna on April 26, 2025.

The assumption of command was marked by a formal guard turnout, followed by traditional religious rituals that honored the significance of the occasion. In a symbolic gesture representing growth and continuity under new leadership, concluded the ceremonial proceedings by planting a sapling within the regimental premises.

Following this meaningful act, the 10th Commanding Officer delivered his inaugural address to the troops under his command, outlining his vision for the regiment and expressing his commitment to upholding its proud traditions while embracing future challenges. During his address, Major Lalith Rathnayake emphasized the importance of technical excellence, discipline, and teamwork as cornerstones of the regiment's continued success.
