The Field Engineer Brigade witnessed a momentous occasion on 24th February 2025, as it hosted a grand felicitation ceremony to honor the distinguished service and well-earned promotion of Brigadier HKP Karunathilaka RSP. This event marked a significant milestone in his career and highlighted his unwavering dedication and commitment to the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
The ceremony commenced with a warm reception for the Guests of Honour, followed by a Guard Turnout at the entrance in keeping with military traditions. A Ceremonial Parade was then conducted to pay tribute to the newly promoted Brigadier. The event also included religious rituals and the planting of a sapling, symbolizing growth and prosperity.
Addressing the gathering, Brigadier HKP Karunathilaka RSP expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the officers and other rankers for organizing a memorable felicitation ceremony in his honor. The event concluded on a warm and cordial note with a tea reception, celebrating this prestigious achievement.
