FAREWELL TO COMMANDING OFFICER OF THE OFFICER CADET WING

A farewell ceremony for Colonel AMDB Adhikari RWP RSP psc, the outgoing Commanding Officer of the Officer Cadet Wing, took place at the Sri Lanka Military Academy on 10th March 2025. A farewell gathering was hosted at the Officers’ Mess on 10th March, attended by the Commandant, all Wing Heads, Senior Officers, and Officers of the Academy to formally recognize his exceptional service to the institution where a token of appreciation was also presented in acknowledgment of his contributions.

Colonel Dhammika Adhikari RWP RSP psc of the Gajaba Regiment was accorded a Guard of Honour, comprising 18 Officers, 36 Non-Commissioned Officers, and 96 Officer Cadets in five squads, in recognition of his distinguished service as the 38th Commanding Officer of the OCW.

During the parade, the outgoing Commanding Officer expressed gratitude to all personnel of the Academy for their support throughout his tenure and shared insightful reflections from his military career, offering guidance to the officer cadets for their future training. Following the parade, he addressed all officer cadets undergoing training, Other Rank instructors and the civil staff. The proceedings concluded with a group photograph with the OCW staff followed by a tea party hosted by the officers, instructors, and officer cadet of the Academy.
