    Sri Lanka Armoured Corps celebrated its 67th Anniversary on 15 December 2022. Major General D B S N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant SLAC graced the Corps Day anniversary ceremonies as the Chief Guest, held at Rock House Army Camp.

  • ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS RITUALS HELD TO  INVOKE BLESSINGS ON FORTHCOMING CORPS DAY SLAC

    As the last in the series of religious events, Islamic religious observances were conducted in view of the forthcoming 67th Anniversary and Corps Day commemoration of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps at the Jummah Mosque, Mutwal on Thursday 08 December 2022 with the participation of Brigadier P N Wijesiriwardena RSP USP, Centre Commandant SLAC together with other Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks.

    A special Mass invoking blessings on the forthcoming 67th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps was held at St Andrew's Church Modera on 05 December 2022. In the event, religious observances started with the arrival of Brigadier W P Kariyawasam, Commander Armoured Brigade as the Chief Guest.

    An all-night ‘Pirith’ chanting, organised by the Regimental Centre SLAC on the celebration of forthcoming 67th Corps Day Anniversary on 15 December 2022, got underway on Friday, 02 December 2022 evening at the Rock House Camp premises. Major General D B S N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant SLAC, together with Mrs. Harshini Bothota, the President, Armour Ladies Club, Brigadier W P Kariyawasam, Commander Armoured Brigade, Brigadier P N Wijesiriwardena RSP USP, Centre Commandant SLAC, Senior Officers, spouses, Other Ranks, Retired Officers and family members of fallen War Heroes attended the event.

  • ARMOURED CORPS WAR HEROES REMEMBERED

    Sri Lanka Armoured Corps paid tribute to the memory of fallen War Heroes at the War Heroes monument at Kalattewa on 27 November 2022 before the commemoration of the forthcoming Corps Day. Major General D B S N Bothota RWP RSP USP psc, Military Secretary and the Colonel Commandant SLAC graced the event as the Chief Guest together with several senior officers.

  • SLAC ACCORDED FAREWELL TO RETIRING MAJOR GENERAL M K S SILVA RWP RSP ndu

    A farewell ceremony was held to the retiring Major General M K S Silva RWP RSP ndu, the former Security Forces Commander Central got underway at the Rock House Army Camp on 09 November 2022, which remarked 35 plus years of active service to the Army and the Country.
