The 7th Volunteer Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps convened its inaugural Unit Symposium & Diners’ Club on 19 April 2024, under the theme "Infantry Role and Future Employability as a Volunteer Regiment," marking a historic milestone in regimental discourse. The event, graced by notable figures including Maj Gen S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant SLAC and the Commander Security Forces (West) and featuring a keynote address by Maj Gen P A M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding 22 Infantry Division; provided a platform for rigorous examination and strategic dialogue concerning the regiment's operational trajectory.

Cavalry Swimmers clinched the 2nd place of the Army Inter Regiment Swimming championship (Novices) - 2024. Further S/112669 Tpr Kumarasingha SDDL 4 Armoured Regiment became the ‘Best Swimmer’ and owned Gold medals for 400m, 200m and 100m freestyle events.
