The Armoured Brigade hosted a Diners' Club event on 31 July 2024 at the Cavalry mess, Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. The event was highlighted with an insightful lecture delivered by Major General S W M Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces (West) and the Colonel Commandant SLAC, on the topic 'Military Strategic Leader Through Professionalism and Intellectualism.'
The event, organized under the direction of Brigadier A A D P Kulathilaka USP ndc psc, Commander Armoured Brigade, aimed to enhance the knowledge and confidence of Officers amidst their demanding duties. The insightful lecture of the Colonel Commandant emphasized the importance of combining professionalism with intellectual growth in military leadership.
A total of 62 Officers including the Director, Veteran Affairs, Centre Commandant SLAC, Director Welfare, Commanding Officers of 1 SLAC and 5 SLAC, Senior Officers and Officers attended the event.
