The 4 Armoured Regiment conducted a Unit Symposium, first of its kind at Clappenburg, Trincomalee on 26 August 2023. The symposium titled “Modern Trends in Armour Technology and Tactics” was aimed at enhancing knowledge of officers of the 4 Armoured Regiment on the subject while giving them much needed experience in event organizing, academic writing and research presentation.

The former Security Forces Commander (Jaffna) and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps has received a big salute on his retirement at the end of more than 35 years of active service as the iconic feature of the Cavalry Family.
