    Sri Lanka Armoured Corps proudly celebrated its 69th Anniversary on 15 December 2024 at the Rock House Camp with the presence of Mrs. Lali Kobbekaduwa, Retired & Serving Cavalry members. Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters, and Colonel Commandant SLAC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

  • ALL-NIGHT PIRITH CHANTING FOR 69TH CORPS DAY ANNIVERSARY OF SLAC

    An all-night ‘Pirith’ chanting, on the celebration of forthcoming 69th Corps Day Anniversary on 15 December 2024, got underway on 06 December 2024 evening at the Home of Armour. Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters and the Colonel Commandant - SLAC, together with Mrs. Dulashi Meepagala, the President, Armour Ladies Club, Commander Armoured Brigade, Centre Commandant SLAC, Senior Officers, Spouses, Other Ranks, Retired Officers, Mrs. Lali Kobbekaduwa & several family members of fallen War Heroes.

    In line with the 69th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Multi- Religious Blessings Ceremony was held at the Home of Armour on 05 December 2024 with the presence of Quarter Master General, Army Headquarters and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc together with Commander Armoured Brigade, Centre Commandant, Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks.

    Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on the verge of maturing into its 69 years, refreshed the memories of invaluable sacrifices of War Heroes in a solemn, yet dignified commemorative ceremony on 29 November in the afternoon at War Heroes Monument - Kalattewa, Anuradhapura.

  • THE SRI LANKA ARMOURED CORPS PRESENTS A HOUSE BUILT BY THE 4 ARMOURED REGIMENT TO A DESERVING FAMILY IN TRINCOMALEE

    On 27 November 2024, Major General MS Devapriya USP ndc, the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, officially handed over a newly constructed house to a deserving family in Trincomalee. The house was built by the 4 Armoured Regiment with generous donations from Mr. Prabath Perera, who resides in Switzerland and attended the event with his family.

    On 2nd November 2024, Major General M S Devapriya USP ndc, the 15th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, conducted his first official visit to the 5 Reconnaissance Regiment , where he commanded as the 9th Commanding Officer. This visit held particular significance, as it reflected both his legacy and the ongoing tradition of this prestigious Corps.
