  • Social Care Project carried out by the Troops of the 51 Infantry Division at Kopay, Jaffna

    Troops of the Headquarters of 51 Division serving under the Security Force headquarters Jaffna organized a series of road cleaning programs aiming Dengue prevention, Parthenium Hysteropaorus eradication and prevention of road accident which is abundance in the area due to dense vegetation over grown covering part of the roads in the peninsula. This particular action carried out by 100 soldiers covering part of the minor road running from Thirunelvely to Navathkiri.

  • Commander Security Forces Jaffna Reviewed the Situation on Covid – 19 In Jaffna

    Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu Commander Security Forces Jaffna who was appointed as the Chief Coordinator for controlling and prevention of Covid-19 in Jaffna District presided a reviewing conference on Covid – 19 control operations in Jaffna District on 24 April 2021 at the Government Agent’s Office Jaffna.

  • Foreign Employees Proceeding Home After Government Quarantine Process

    126 foreign employees from Saudi Arabia, Italy, Korea, Lebanon, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Qatar, Philippines and Romania set off for their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Vasavilan Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Saturday, 24 April 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP ndu. Soon after the awarding of certificates personnel who underwent the quarantine process appreciated the commitment and dedication of the army troops at Vasavillan Quarantine Centre.

  • Jaffna Troops Undertake Sterilization in Jaffna City

    On the direction of Commander Security Force – Jaffna and District Coordinator of COVID - 19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, the troops of 512 Infantry Brigade carried out a mega sterilization campaign covering Jaffna hospital street and Bazar street on 22 April 2021 to prevent spreading of COVID - 19 virus. The programme was highly praised by the community and stated that it was a timely needed project.

  • Foreign Employees Proceeding Home After Government Quarantine Process

    A number of 176 foreign employees from Saudi Arabia, Italy, India Korea, Lebanon, Canada, New Zealand, China, Abu Dhabi and Australia set off to their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Vasavilan Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Friday, 16 April 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, Colonel MM Salwathura RWP RSP USP. Soon after the awarding of certificates personnel who underwent the quarantine process appreciated the commitment and dedication of the army troops at Vasavillan Quarantine Centre.

  • Army Built New House For a Deserving Family As a New Year Gift

    Troops of the Security Force Jaffna constructed a new house for a deserving family at Kovilvayal, Iyakachchi and it was officially handed over to Mrs. Velusami Sanadini with the gracious presence of Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu Commander Security Force Jaffna on Tuesday, 13 April 2021.

  • Jaffna Troops Donate Dry Ration Packs and Fresh Vegetables to Needy Families in Nawakkuli Village

    Security Force Headquarters Jaffna organized another community related programme for needy families at Nawakkuli village on eve of the Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival. This donation programme was implemented by the troops of 12th Battalion Gemunu Watch on the concept of Commander Security Force Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, on Tuesday, 13 April 2021.

  • Jaffna Troops Hand Over Another Shelter for a Needy Family

    Troops of the Security Force -Jaffna once again extended their technical, engineering and manpower support to build a new house to another underprivileged family in Navalar Road, Jaffna after their plight was brought to the notice of Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force Jaffna.

  • Tamil Sign Language Course Ends in Certificate Awarding Ceremony

    The Commander Security Force Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu participated the ceremony as Chief Guest together with Miss. Nagendram Vijitha-Director of Vithu Trust Fund. Certificate Awarding Ceremony took place at the Thalsevana Army Holiday Resort and successfully completed 21 participants including Tamil students and government officials received their certificates on 8 April 2021 and this was followed a series of cultural events performed civil and military personnel which beautified the ceremony.

  • Cornerstone for One More House Laid in Jaffna

    During a brief ceremony organized by 513 Brigade troops on Wednesday, 07 April 2021, Commander Security Force - Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera laid the cornerstones for a construction of a new house for Mr. Kadeeran Govindasami and his family in Chullipuram, Jaffna amidst religious customs after learning about his family’s plights.
