  • Foreign Employees Proceeding Home After Government Quarantine Process

    A number of 290 foreign employees flew from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Sweden, Romania, Australia and Japan Set off to their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Vasavilan Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Friday, 19 February 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and District Coordinator - COVID -19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division and Commander 521 Infantry Brigade.

  • 237 Foreign Employees Back Home After Quarantine

    A number of 237 foreign employees returned from Qatar, Set off to their villages after completing two - week quarantine process at Vidaththapalei quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Saturday, 13 February 2021. They underwent medical procedures and received quarantine certificates before leaving Jaffna.

  • 512 Infantry Brigade Launched A Cleaning Programme

    512 Infantry Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna launched another community based cleaning programme at Jaffna Railway Station on Sunday, 07 February 2021. This cleaning programme was conducted on the conceptual directions of Commander Security Force - Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, made aware the Jaffna community to keep their city clean and polythene free.

  • Troops Lead Dengue Prevention Campaign in Jaffna

    Besides the Covid -19 prevention and control measures initiated by Security Force (Jaffna) a dengue prevention campaign was organized by the troops of 51, 52 and 55 Infantry Divisions, in concurrence with the 73rd National Independence Day on the instruction and Direction of the Commander Security Force Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu on Tuesday, 02 February 2021. Police Officers, Public Health Inspectors, Officials of Dengue Prevention Unit in Jaffna, Students of Jaffna University and Civilians joined hands with the troops during the campaign.

  • 73rd National Independence Day Celebrations in Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna)

    Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) celebrated the 73rd National Independence Day with the participation of officers and other ranks. The National Flag was hoisted by Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Brigadier Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG and followed by two minute silence pay the respect to all the patriots and war heroes who scarified their lives for the noble cause of defending the freedom, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of mother Sri Lanka.

  • Discussion on Covid - 19 Prevention and Control Measures in Jaffna

    Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and District Coordinator - Covid -19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu together with Government Agent Jaffna, Mr. K Maheshan presided an official meeting with the health sector officials and authorities of Jaffna University on Wednesday, 03 February 2021 at the Government Agent’s Office Jaffna.

    In light of recent Covid - 19 detection in Jaffna University, the discussion mainly focused on Covid - 19 prevention and control measures to be initiated in Jaffna peninsula. During the discussion few important decisions were taken with special reference to control spreading of Covid - 19 among university students and civil community.

    Security Force Commander emphasized the significance of distance learning and proposed university authorities to implement online education and e-library system for the benefit of university students.

  • Security Force Commander Laid the Foundation for Luxury Condominium in Jaffna

    On the cordial invitation extended by Mr. Judenorld Francis, owner of JC’s Group Company, Commander Security Force (Jaffna) Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu made his presence at the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of ‘Solace Jaffna’ Luxury Condominium at Main Street, Jaffna on Thursday 28 January 2021. The foundation laying ceremony was conducted amidst the blessings of clergy.

  • Jaffna Troops Donate Nutrients and Dry Ration Packs to Pregnant Women

    On the conceptual directions of the Commander Security Force – Jaffna, troops of 523 Infantry Brigade under 52 Infantry Division coordinated a donation of nutrients and dry ration packs to pregnant women in Jaffna peninsula, with the financial sponsorship extended by Mrs. Suranjani Wickremeratne, the President of ‘Colombo Tarana Foundation’.

    Commander Security Force – Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu made his presence as Chief Guest during the donation programme held at Poomari Hall, Chavakachcheri on Thursday, 28 January 2021, in which a number of 75 pregnant women from low-income families were benefitted. The pregnant women came from remote areas in Jaffna peninsula received nutrients and ration packs worth of Rs. 2750.00 each, along with a Covid 19 preventive pack (Sanitizers, face masks, etc.).

    Kurukkal in Chavakachcheri, General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff Security Force – Jaffna, Brigade Commanders, Divisional Secretary (Chavakachcheri), Officer In Charge – Chavakachcheri Police Station, PHI Chavakachcheri, Government Officials, Officials of Tarana Foundation and Troops participated in the donation programme.
