Military Ceremonials Pays Final Respect to Late Lance Corporal A.P. Mariyalujison

A solemn military funeral was held on 01 May 2026 at the cemetery at Panikaiyadi, Iyakkachchi to pay last respects to the late Lance Corporal A.P. Mariyalujison of 12 (V) Engineer Service Regiment with full military honors.

The ceremony was attended by the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu with the large gathering of military personnel, dignitaries and mourners who come together to honour the Late Non-Commissioned Officer.

During these visits, the Commander met with the Honourable Governor of the Northern Province Mr. N. Vethanayahan, the District Secretary of Jaffna, Mr. M. Piratheepan and the Rt. Rev. Justin Bernard Gnanapragasam, Bishop of Jaffna, at their respective workplaces.
