As part of its sustained commitment to humanitarian outreach and civil military engagement, the 51 Infantry Division, operating under Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna, carried out special Christmas alms giving programme on 25 December 2025 at the Mother Teresa Elders Home, Irupalai, Kopay. Due to the adverse weather conditions experienced in recent days, the bridge located near the 10th milepost in the Kandaweli area on the A-35 road was severely damaged.
