Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the newly appointed Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, conducted his inaugural official visit to the Headquarters of the 51 Infantry Division on 04 July 2025. Upholding military customs and traditions, the Commander was warmly received by Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the Division, along with his staff.
The visit commenced with a ceremonial welcome, after which the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) took part in a series of events organized at the Division Headquarters. These included the symbolic planting of a sapling to mark the occasion, a comprehensive briefing by the General Officer Commanding on the Division’s operational role and ongoing responsibilities, and a group photograph. The day’s programme also featured a troop address, during which Major General Rasika Kumara shared his vision and extended his appreciation for the dedication of the troops.
In continuation of his visit, the Commander toured several Brigades and Battalion Headquarters under the 51 Infantry Division. During these field visits, he engaged in cordial interactions with officers and other ranks, fostering open discussions on operational, administrative, and civil-military coordination matters.
