Upon arrival, the Senior Officer was accorded a Guard Turnout followed by Guard of Honour by the troops of 11th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry. Then, the newly appointed Commander formally took over duties amidst the chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha and in the presence of multi-religious clergy, signing an official document to mark the acceptance of his new role.
