  • Officer Cadets’of Sri Lanka Military Academy Visit Jaffna

    The Officer Cadets Intake 92 A, 93B, and SC 21 of Sri Lanka Military Academy visited the Security Forces (Jaffna) on 30 and 31 May 2024. This visit was a part of their course curriculum, designed in order gain first hand exposure to understand the function of field formations. On behalf of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, officer cadets were warmly welcomed by the Colonel General Staff, Colonel SDKWMMI Weliwita RWP RSP USP psc.

  • 9 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Culminated Battalion Training Package at BTS - Mulankavil

    The first battalion training course for the year 2024 in 51 Infantry Division was conducted by Security Forces (Jaffna) Battalion Training School at Mulankavil with the participation of 10 officers and 360 Other Ranks of the 9th (V) Battalion the Sri Lanka Light Infantry from 20 March 2024 to 11 May 2024.

  • General Officer Commander of 51 Infantry Division Visits Headquarters 513 Infantry Brigade

    Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP, GOC of 51 Infantry Division has visited the Headquarters 513 Infantry Brigadeand under command Battalions (10 SLA and 11 SLLI) on 09 May 2024.

  • Goc 51 Infantry Division Made His Inaugural Visit to 512 Infantry Brigade

    The newly appointed General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWPRSP, made his inaugural visit to 512 Infantry Brigade and under command Battalions (17 GW and 14 GR) on 07 May 2024.

  • Brigade Commander of 523 Infantry Brigade assumed duties

    Colonel SMCAS Samarathunga RSP assumed duties as the 16th Brigade Commander of 523 Infantry Brigade at the Headquarters, Allarai on 07 May 2024. A formal military ceremony was held includinga Guard Turnout. Later new Brigade Commander addressed all ranks of Brigade Headquarters and under command Battalions.

  • 51 Infantry Division New GOC Takes Over Duties

    Major General WBJK Wimalaratne RWP RSP of the Gemunu Watch assumed duties as the 34th General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division in Kopay on Monday, 06 May 2024.

  • Swimming Development Program for Students

    On the instructions of the Commander - Security Force (Jaffna) Maj Gen MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndupsc, a National Level Swimming Training Program for the students living in Point Pedro area was conducted by 52 Infantry Division from 03 May 2024 to 06 May 2024 at Velvettithurai Municipal Swimming Pool.

  • Director General General Staff (Overlooking) / Quarter Master General and Master General Ordnance Officially Visited the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna)

    Major General GMN Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, Director General General Staff (Overlooking) and Quarter Master General and Major General AK Rajapaksa RSP, Master General Ordnance made an official visit to Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on Monday 29 April. The Principal Staff Officers were warmly welcomed by Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division and Logistics Commander (Jaffna).

  • 551 Infantry Brigade Troops Join Kilinochchi Town Cleaning Project

    551 Infantry Brigade troops of the 55 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna, together with Kilinochchi Police, Civil Security Department and Kilinochchi-based civil organizations launched a cleaning campaign in Kilinochchi town. This cleaning project was implemented on both sides of the A9 road and in the town area. The effort was appreciated by the people in the area.
