Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the newly appointed Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, conducted his inaugural official visit to the Battalion Training School in Mulankavil on 08 July 2025. The Commander was warmly welcomed by Colonel BSK Jayasundera, Commandant of the school, along with his staff.
Thereafter, Commander and other participants attended a comprehensive briefing on the battalion training and training school, which was conducted by the Commandant of the school, the Commander emphasized several key factors, discipline of soldiers, misuse of Army/ civil property, quality of soldier in speaking, dressing and attitude apparent to the military. In addition, necessity of improving the constant training, which paves the path to develop the soldiers’co-competencies to develop the skills of performing multiple tasks in order to face future security challenges of the nation. Also highlighted the importance of soldier for himself for recreation/ education/ hygiene/ spiritual activity.
