Major General KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc, the newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna made his official visit to 55 Infantry Division on 29 June 2025. He was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding - 55 Infantry Division, Major General Major General BGS Fernando USP Hdmc psc following the military traditions and customs.
Commander Security Forces – Jaffna participated in series of events at 55 Infantry Division Headquarter premises including Planting of sapling as a symbol of memory, troop address, group photograph and all ranks tea.
In line with the visit, Commander Security Forces - Jaffna visited the Brigades, Victory monument – Kilinochchi and CIMIC park.
During the days field visit, the Commander had interaction sessions with the Officers, troops and civil communities where they had the opportunity to discuss matters pertaining to the military and civil.
General Officer Commanding, All Brigade Commanders, Colonel General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters -Jaffna, Staff Officers of 55 infantry Division, Commanding Officers, and troops were associated with the chain of events.
