During a brief ceremony organized by 513 Brigade troops on Wednesday, 07 April 2021, Commander Security Force - Jaffna Major General Priyantha Perera laid the cornerstones for a construction of a new house for Mr. Kadeeran Govindasami and his family in Chullipuram, Jaffna amidst religious customs after learning about his family’s plights.
The reputed donor, Mr. Thabodaran Vishwanadan who lives in Britain sponsors for this construction over the request made by the Commander, Security Force -Jaffna. Troops of 16th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch provide needed manpower and technical expertise for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 513 Brigade.
After the foundation laying ceremony, the Commander Security Forces Jaffna handed out dry ration packs for the under privileged families in the area.
General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Commander of 513 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Government Officials and troops of the Security Force Jaffna were also present during this ceremony.
