Foreign Employees Proceeding Home After Government Quarantine Process

A number of 199 foreign employees flew from Saudi Arabia, America, Kuwait, Oman and Dubai Set off to their homes after completing two - week quarantine process at Vidaththapalai Quarantine Centre in Jaffna, on Tuesday, 30 March 2021. Having gone through the required quarantine procedures, they were awarded with quarantine certificates by Commander Security Force, Jaffna and District Coordinator - COVID -19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera, and General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division

Commander Security Force, Jaffna praised quarantined personnel as they well adhered to the health guidelines and instructions laid by the administrators and urged them to follow the further health guidelines ones reach their homes. Soon after the awarding of certificates personnel who went through the quarantine process appreciated the commitment and dedication of the army troops at Vidaththapalai Quarantine Centre.

The quarantined people were segregated according to their respective residential areas and provided necessary transport facilities to reach their destinations in Kaluthara, Rathnapura, Monaragala, Hambantota and Badulla. Furthermore those personnels were provided with packeted meals, snacks, water bottle etc before commencing their journey.

The quarantine process was conducted by the troops of Security Force (Jaffna) under the supervision of Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and District Coordinator - COVID -19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna with the guidance of the National Operation Center for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) headed by General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, Chief of the Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
