The foundation stone-laying for construction of another new house for a deserving family living in Uduvil, Jaffna was held on Thursday (19) and Commander Security Forces - Jaffna Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during a simple ceremony, adhering to health formalities.
This programme was organized by the troops of 511 Brigade on the instructions of Major General Deepal Pussella, General Officer Commanding 51 Division. The Church of the American Ceylon Mission in Jaffna sponsors this construction on the request made by the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna. Troops of 9th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry provides much needed manpower and technical expertise for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 511 Brigade.
End of the foundation laying ceremony, the Commander Security Forces Jaffna donated a dry ration pack for the deserving family.
General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Commander 511 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Government Officials, beneficiary Mr. Amirthamalar Mahendrarasa and his family and troops of the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna were also present during the inaugural ceremony.
