8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery & 4 SLASC located at Minneriya under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Dry Ration Packets & 05 ltr Water Bottles for 170 x Families at Abepuragama, Mandalagiriya, Palliyagodalla, Agbargama and Viharagama in Madirigiriya DS Divisional area in Polonnaruwa District on 01st Sep 2014 with the Sponsorship of Sirasa Sahana Shakthi Programme (Troops participated 06 x 15)

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the surrounding of Kuburupiddi Siththivinayagar Kovil in Trincomalee District on 02 Sep 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water (240 Nos of 5 ltr bottles) for 60 x Families who were affected from the drought at kachchikudi and Selwanagar DS Area in Manmunai on 01st Sep 2014 with the Sponsorship of Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya – Colombo. (Troops participated 01 x 10)

9th Gemunu Watch located under the 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area organized a Ceremony Program for Alamkulam Arayamilavanan Pre School Students at Punani on 11 July 2014 with the participation of Civilians in the area.

12th Gajaba Regiment located in Kalladi under the 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Conducted a Lecture program on mental development for 180 School Students at Vigneshwara School in Pudunagar. The program was conducted from 1030 hrs to 1130 hrs on 10 July 2014 with the assistance of civil lecturers.

231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Two Days Lecture program on subjects of Science with the assistance of Lyca$s Gnanam Foundation. 523 x Students from Batticaloa area, who are sitting for the GCE (A/L) Examination this Year at Swamy Vipulananda University Music College, participated for the event from 0830 hrs to 1700 hrs on 10 and 11 July 2014. This was conducted at Swamy Vipulananda University Music College auditorium with the assistance of civil lecturers.

The Chief Operating Officer Mr Kapila Giragama in charge of basic computer course conducted by Orient academy in Security Force Headquarters (East) donated 02 x Computers to Commander Security Force (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG on 16 July 2014 to make this Programme more Efficient.

The Opening Address of Second English Course conducted by the Security Forces Headquarters (East) was held at Security Forces Headquarters (East) Welikanda on 16 July 2014 with the direction of commander Security Forces East Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG. The Opening Address delivered by Brig KLAS Wijesinghe RWP RSP psc IG, Brigadier General Staff - SFHQ (E). The English Course will be conducted for 45 X working days with an aim to develop the English Knowledge of the officers in SFHQ (E) AOR.
