222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Lecture on harassment of women and child abuse to Female Committees in the Serunuwara area at Serunuwara Divisional Secretariat on 22 Aug 2014 with the assistance of divisional secretary Serunuwara and police. (Troops participated 03 x 10)

Under the Direction of Commander SF HQ (E) Maj Gen SAAL perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG , CO of 5 SLAMC Maj MDHR Sumanasekara RSP conducted a lecture programme on counseling for lady officers of 5 SLAWC ,Who are serving under 22 division in SF HQ (E) area at 1600 hrs to 2015 hrs on 23rd august 2014 at 22 Division lecture hall.(09 lady officers participated)

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, facilitated the villagers to conduct a Perahera and installing of a new Buddha Statue at Mahindapura temple and same day distributed drinking Water and dry rations for the people who were affected by the prevailing drought at Mahindapura area on 27 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 05 x 55).

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water for people who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ilangathurei , Karakamunai Village on 25 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 03).

8th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 30 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Perillaweli Village in Koraleipattu (South) on 26th Aug 2014. (Troops participated 01 x 03)

8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Minneriya under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water Bottles 250 nos and Dry ration Packets for 250 x Families (worth of Rs 1500.00) each who were affected from the drought in Sinhalagama DS Areas in Hingurakgoda on 28 Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Rev Lunugamvehera Vimalananda thero (Troops participated 04 x 10).

222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Dry Ration Packets & Fresh meals for 170 x Poor Families in Verugal DS area at Ichchalanpattu T/Sri/Sampaha School in Trinkomalee District on 29th Aug 2014 , with the Sponsorship of incumbent of Ganpola Panvila thanna Sri Ranasingherama rev Mailapitiye Samiddivansha thero (Troops participated 06 x 15).

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water for people who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ilangathurei , Karakamunai Village on 29 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 01 x 03)

23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed 100 Nos of dry ration packets and 54 Nos of 25 liters empty canes for 100 x families at Punani and Mailanthenna Villages on 29th Aug 2014,with the sponsorship of director Bam Knitting (Pvt) Ltd Thulhiriya. GOC 23 Division and Senior Army officers were present on this Occasion.(Troops participated 04 x 10).

23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed 100 Nos of dry ration packets and 54 Nos of 25 liters empty canes for 100 x families at Punani and Mailanthenna Villages on 29th Aug 2014,with the sponsorship of director Bam Knitting (Pvt) Ltd Thulhiriya. GOC 23 Division and Senior Army officers were present on this Occasion.(Troops participated 04 x 10).
