8th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Minneriya under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water ( 500 number of Bottles of 05 ltr ) and 450 dry ration packets for people who were affected by prevailing drought at Aluthoya and Mahamorakanda Villagers on 18th Aug 2014 with the sponsorship of Dawulagala Vimaladaja thero of Mahnuwara Udunuwara Darmarama temple, Srimath Anagarika Darmapala paropakada padanama and along with other Buddhist theros.

8th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Periyawadduwan under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed Drinking Water for 30 x Families who were affected by the prevailing drought at Perillaweli, Madupulthottam Village in Koraleipattu (South) on 18th Aug 2014. Troops participated 00 x 03.

5th Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery located in Thopoor under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the surrounding of Patalipuram Medical Centre in Trincomalee on 19 Aug 2014.

22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located in Kallar under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water ( 350 ltrs ) for 34 x Families who were affected from the drought in Ariyamankeni DS Areas in Trincomalee on 21 Aug 2014 with the Sponsorship of Buddhist Chanel and Sambodhi Viharaya - Colombo (Troops participated 01 x 03).

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located in Ichalanpathu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) distributed drinking Water for people who were affected by the prevailing drought at Ilangathurei, Karakamunai Village on 21 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 01 x 04).

As per the concept of the Secretary of Defense and Urban Development and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and direction given by the Commander security Force ( East ) , 36 Tamil women recruits enlisted to 5(V) SLAWC were passed out at 22 Division - Trincomalee on 23 Aug 2014 after the completion of 04 months training at 5 (V) SLAWC. Brig R Shanmuganathan Hdmc Lsc was the Chief Guest and Comd SF (East) participated as the Guest of Honour.

2nd Gajaba Regiment located in Trincomalee under 221 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) Conducted a Shramadhana Campaign to clear the surrounding of Thillinagar Bus Stop in Trincomalee on 23 Aug 2014. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

5th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located at Thopur under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) organized an Employment opportunity programme in Cooperation with the NMK (pvt) Limited in Kattaparichchan for the benefit of unemployed youth in Trincomalee area on 24th Aug 2014 (Troops participated 03 x 10)
